Research Assistant (BSc./ MA.) in Organometallic Catalysis

A Research Assistant position will be opened within Dr. Kevin Lam Medicinal Chemistry Group in the field of Carbon Dioxide Electroreduction.

In collaboration with Prof. Richard Kemp from Sandia National Lab (USA) - U. of New Mexico, a new generation of organometallic electrocatalysts will be developed in order to reduce CO2 into a more valuable compound.

Candidates with the following expertise are invited to apply:

BSc. or MA. in Chemistry (Research Assistant)

A candidate is also supposed to have prior experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Organometallic Chemistry
  • Structural Spectroscopy
  • Mass Spectrometry
  • Electrochemistry
Interested candidates should email their full CV, a cover letter, a list of three references with e-mail addresses and telephone numbers.

Post Doctoral Associate (PhD.) and Research Assistant (BSc.) in Organic and Medicinal Chemistry

A Post Doctoral position will be opened within Dr. Kevin Lam Medicinal Chemistry Group in the field of Drugs Synthesis.

The research has a strong emphasis on synthesizing new generation of tyrosine kinase inhibitors in collaboration with the University of Vermont Cancer Canter and Dr. Claire Verschraegen (Fletcher Allen Hospital - USA).

Post Doctoral Associates are expected to be autonomous in a lab and to be able to supervise undergrad students.

The NU campus is located in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, in the heart of the new and ultra-modern Left-Bank region of the city. NU was launched in 2010 as the premier national university of Kazakhstan, based on the Western model, with English-language instruction, partnering with some of the most recognized international universities. NU aims to become a university with a strong and modern scientific infrastructure, science and engineering workforce capable of meeting the challenges according to the needs of economics and the country overall. To solve these problems, the best researchers of the country and abroad are invited to cooperate with the University.

Candidates with the following expertise are invited to apply:

PhD. in Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Synthetic Electrochemistry (for Post Doctoral Associate) or a BSc. in Chemistry (Research Assistant)

A candidate is also supposed to have prior experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Organometallic Chemistry
  • Structural Spectroscopy
  • Mass Spectrometry
  • Electrochemistry
Interested candidates should email their full CV, a cover letter, a list of three references with e-mail addresses and telephone numbers.
